Taiwan is building an electronic waste, recycling center out
of recycled materials and trash! It’s true! The facility will have walls and
ceilings made of everything from the glass fiber of computer motherboards to
the plastic left over from CD's and DVDs.
Taiwan has to make use of recycling centers such as this one
because in 2010, the government passed a zero landfill policy in regards to
electronic waste. 70 percent of the landscape is mountainous, so the use of
landfills really isn't an option.
The facility is schedule to be up and running by the end of
the year.
