Many people here the phrase “go green” frequently but write
it off as a costly expense. However, this is untrue. Going green is an opportunity
that can create many new jobs and economies as well. It can also benefit the environment.
Our society is rapidly producing more and more waste, and it
is no surprise that recycling is not a mainstream activity.
Our environment is
suffering in many areas. Our water resources are being depleted through
consumption or pollution, global warming is drying lakes, oil is slipping into
our seas and threatening marine ecology. Also, forests are being turned over to
farmers to feed a growing population.
Environmental Degradation is a growing issue in our nation
and our generation and future generations will certainly be effected by it.
Incentives
need to be developed to encourage our society to move towards a greener economy. People need to first truly understand and become aware of the health and psychological effects of an unclean environment.
